My passion for hair care and styling started early. My first attempt at a haircut was on my eight-year-old cousin—I was only nine at the time! Needless to say, my aunt, a professional hairstylist, wasn’t thrilled.
By elementary school, I was styling my own hair, and by high school, my mom allowed me to style a few classmates at home. Growing up, I watched both of my aunts work in their salon, which inspired me even more.
I completed cosmetology school in 1996 and began my career as a shampoo technician. That experience gave me valuable exposure to professional salon services and allowed me to learn from some of the best stylists in the city. I also learned what I didn’t want to carry into my own career—lessons I’m grateful for.
Over the years, I’ve built a loyal clientele and meaningful relationships. My skills have grown, but what truly sets me apart is my ability to connect with clients and earn their trust. It’s an incredible feeling to have a career where I can help women feel beautiful inside and out every day.
